Kirtipur Biodiversity Restoration Phase II Successfully Completed
We are happy to announce the successful completion of our Kirtipur Biodiversity Restoration Phase 2 project.
This new plantation site is located in Bagbhairav, Kirtipur - 2, Kathmandu. It represents our ongoing commitment to restoring the natural environment in the Kathmandu Valley and creating green spaces for future generations.
Our Approach
For this project, we used the Miyawaki forest method of plantation. This method is known for creating dense, native forests that grow up to 10 times faster than traditional plantations. It helps build a rich ecosystem that supports local wildlife and biodiversity.
Project Highlights
Total Saplings Planted: 4,355
Total Area Covered: 1,500 m²
Species Planted: 30 native species of trees and plants
A True Collaboration
This project is a perfect example of what we can achieve when we work together. We were proud to work hand-in-hand with the local government and the Kirtipur community. It has been a pleasure to share this vision with everyone involved.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, community member, and government representative who contributed their time and effort. Without your support, this achievement would not have been possible.
By restoring this area, we are helping to cool the urban environment, improve air quality, and create a healthier place to live. We invite you to visit the site and see the progress for yourself.
Together, we are creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
