We have had such a positive experience every time we've ordered from Lily's Leaves. The product quality is exceptional, the designs are unique and appealing to our customers, and working with Lily is a pleasure as she is so responsive, professional and kind. I had the pleasure of visiting the studio in Kathmandu several times and meeting the artisans. I was deeply touched and impressed by what I saw there - not just great working conditions and camaraderie, but true empowerment and sisterhood. I feel proud to support Lily's Leaves through my purchases, and it helps me too, because our community loves their jewelry!

Lily Leaves is one of the most amazing social enterprises that I have ever had the good fortune to come across. This grass roots organization in Nepal is striving to help, support and advance poor and underprivileged children and marginalized woman. Their empowerment programmed has proven to be a huge success and their ethos surrounding sustainability is an example to us all. The determination of Lily Katuwal and her dedicated team to solve social issues, is truly impressive.

I was very pleased to be able to visit Lily’s Leaves whilst on a trip to Nepal. Their passion for producing quality products and enjoyment for what they do was clear to see. I spent some time at their offices and workshop taking photos which have been used by both Lily’s leaves and Pipal Tree. I brought some of the handmade silver jewellery produced by very talented deaf women back to the UK to photograph for their catalogue, and was impressed by both the attention to detail and quality of design.

I’ve known Lily for around five years and during this time, I have always been impressed by her determination, passion, and ability to meet challenges face on. Never more so than during the covid pandemic, when she established Lily’s Leaves, and against the odds helped improve the lives of so many others in the most difficult circumstances. I was fortunate to be able to spend three months in Nepal, interacting with Lily and her staff both in Kathmandu and Madesh Province. The hearing-impaired young women with whom she works at Lily’s Leaves in Kathmandu are an inspiration themselves, showing such talent in both jewellery making and tailoring. Their work, in turn, benefits more young women from poor backgrounds by providing school bags, uniform and reusable sanitary pads.  Having accompanied Lily on a couple of trips south to distribute these products, I have seen just how dedicated she is to improving the lives of the disadvantaged in Madesh Province. In addition to the distribution process, Lily takes the time to talk to the girls, and boys, about menstrual health, child marriage and education. All of this on top of producing a very impressive selection of jewellery and textile merchandise that is very difficult to resist!
