My name is Aasha Kumari Sadda, and I am from Makhanpur, Dhanusadham, Janakpur. For the past five months, I have been on a journey of personal growth and development. I decided to enroll in a tailoring training program with Lily Leaves, an organization dedicated to empowering women through education and skill-building. I was part of the first group to join the tailoring training program at Lily Leaves, and it has been an incredible experience. Before the training, I had nothing to do, and my family's financial situation was not good.
However, with the training, I have gained a valuable skill that has allowed me to start working and earning a living. The journey has not been without its challenges, but with the support of my family and the Lily Leaves team, I have continued to learn and grow. The training program has been intensive, but it has also been incredibly rewarding.
I have learned how to create a range of different garments, from traditional dresses to modern clothing. This journey has taught me the importance of education and skill-building, especially for women who may face barriers to employment and financial stability. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, and I am excited to use them to support myself and my family. Overall, this journey has been transformative, and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in the future.
